Midway is partnering with developer 7 Studios to produce a new action strategy game for the next generation PlayStation game console.

　　Formed recently by Lewis Peterson, lead producer of multiple Command & Conquer products, and Erik Yeo, known to fans worldwide as the lead designer of that acclaimed series, 7 Studios has become synonymous with the strategy genre. With 7 Studios' development knowledge and expertise, and the franchise building capabilities of Midway, this will be the first action-strategy series designed specifically for the next generation PlayStation game console.

　　"It was the next logical move," stated Lee Jacobson, Director of Acquisitions for Midway Home Entertainment. "We have been able to partner with developers who have mastered the complexities of the Sega Dreamcast, providing an assortment of beautifully rendered, classic and exciting new titles with the systems release. With the upcoming release of the next generation PlayStation game console to the United States, we were looking for a talented group who could fully utilize the new technology behind the system and found that in 7 Studios."

　　Even though this strategy game has been the only announced title so far, it has been said that many other titles are being planned under this deal. We'll have the latest as details become available.
