On Thursday 3DO announced the plans for release of Sammy Sosa High Heat Baseball 2001. The game will be supported by a national marketing and public-relations campaign featuring television, print, and online advertising starring baseball player Sammy Sosa.
The game will feature enhanced graphics, a batting-practice mode, and an action-camera mode, as well as training difficulty levels for novice players to enjoy. It will include more than 750 major-league baseball players from both 1999 and 2000 rosters. A career and season mode allows for multiplayer trades, free-agent pool, scouting profiles, and complete season news updates. You will also be able to create your own baseball league as well. The Sammy Sosa High Heat Baseball 2001 game is scheduled to be available for the PC and the Sony PlayStation this spring.
