3Dlabs Sues STB-April 2024

  Hamilton, Bermuda-based graphics chip maker, 3Dlabs, announced that it has filed a lawsuit against STB Systems for an alleged breach of contract.

  3Dlabs claims that STB received US$1.22 million dollars in chipsets that it has yet to pay for.

  "It is unfortunate that 3Dlabs has had to reluctantly take action against our valuable customer," said Osman Kent, president and CEO of 3Dlabs Inc. Ltd. "However, we have a responsibility to protect the interests of the company and our shareholders."

  No word was give on which chipsets were involved in the transaction, and STB has yet to issue a statement regarding the suit. STB has used 3Dlabs' Permedia2 chips to power two of its offerings, the Twister 280,Twister 240 and GLyder/MX boards.
