  ' Bethesda parent company Zenimax is seeking to trademark "Starfield." On March 22 (via Society & Religion), the publisher filed a trademark application with the United States Patent & Trademark Organization covering games for consoles and PC, as well as downloadable content.

  Zenimax's trademark application for Starfield covers the following:

  Entertainment services, namely, providing online interactive computer games; entertainment services, namely, providing information relating to electronic computer games via the Internet.

  Computer game software for use with computers and video game consoles; downloadable computer game software offered via the Internet and wireless devices; computer game software for use with online interactive games.

  A Bethesda representative declined to comment.

  Bethesda's newest development team, the Austin, Texas-based Battlecry Studios, is currently working on a new free-to-play game that aims to "redefine" the free-to-play sector. This game has not been announced.

  GameSpot parent company CBS CEO Les Moonves is a member of the Zenimax Media Board of Directors.
