Finally, Blizzard Entertainment has announced the release date of StarCraft: Remastered, a game that was announced in March this year with a release window set for the Summer of 2017.

　　So, StarCraft: Remastered will arrive on August 14th for PC and Mac with a price set at $14.99 USD. This edition includes 4K graphics, new systems for matchmaking, leaderboards, the ability to save progress in the cloud, as well as improved music and sounds.

　　Another feature of this remastered version is that players will have the option to switch from changing the graphics with a simple button on the keyboard, so they can play with the look of years ago or the renewed one.

　　Blizzard mentions that StarCraft: Remastered will include "all content" of the original game, as well as its expansion, StarCraft: Brood War.

　　Separated from the remastered version, Blizzard also announced that Brood War will be upgraded to version 1.18 this week, with bug fixes, ability to reset keys, observer mode, "modern anti-trap measures" and more. StarCraft Anthology, which includes the original game and Brood War, will be available for free after the upgrade.

　　In addition, those who pre-order StarCraft: Remastered before August 14th will receive three unique building skins - the Char Hive, the Korhal Command Center, and the Aiur Nexus.
