Now that the calendar has flipped over to September, the first of this month's free Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles for Xbox Live Gold subscribers are now available. As announced previously, those new games are The Deer God on Xbox One and Battlestations Pacific for Xbox 360. In addition, last month's free Xbox One game, How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition, will continue to be free through September 16.

Even if you don't have an Xbox 360, you may want to consider picking up the last-generation games this month, as they could one day be playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility.
