New Razer Blade Laptops Have High-End Specs, Eye-Watering Prices
New Razer Blade Laptops Have High-End Specs, Eye-Watering Prices-March 2024
Mar 28, 2025 8:13 AM

Razer has added two new sleek and powerful gaming laptops to its growing lineup: the Razer Blade 16 and Razer Blade 18. First announced during CES 2023, both laptops are built with an Intel 13th Generation Core i9 HX processor and RTX series GPU, making them two of the most powerful gaming laptops on the market. A few different variants are available, but here’s a closer look at the two premium gaming rigs.

Laptops in the Razer lineup are never cheap, and since the Blade 16 and Blade 18 are kitted with some of the best components available in 2023, it should come as no surprise that they’re very expensive. While more affordable variants will arrive on February 22, Razer is launching the high-end versions of the Blade 16 and Blade 18 early.

The Blade 16 and 18 feature a lightning-fast Core i9 13950HX processor and up to an RTX 4090 graphics card. The Blade 16 also offers a mini-LED display that can swap between UHD+ at 120Hz or FHD+ at 240Hz.

The Blade 18, meanwhile, is billed as a “desktop replacement.” It offers more than double the processing performance of the 2021 Blade 17 and is built with a six-speaker array that supports THX Spatial Audio, which means the latest models are more impressive on paper in the audio department than most gaming laptops.

Most specs are the same across Blade 16 and Blade 18. However, both laptops are currently offered in two different configurations--one with an RTX 4090 and 2TB SSD and one with an RTX 4080 and 1TB SSD.

A corresponding Razer Synapse update will let you overclock both systems with ease, giving you access to multiple, adjustable parameters that’ll help you get the most out of each device.

If these Razer 16 and Razer 18 models are a bit more than you’re willing to spend on a gaming laptop, you’ll be glad to know that a few more variants are dropping on February 22. These will incorporate the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 (instead of the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 used in the above models) and will carry a starting price of $2,700.
