Fortunately infection is not fatal and can be cured by administering a special serum in any form, including inhaling. Given the high chance of saving infected citizens goverment decided to desinfect and not purge the threat. Your squad will enter quarantined zone through city outskirts to establish an evac point in a local public school and will take control over the city.
Sounds good on paper but the threat is alien an no one REALLY knows what or who you will encounter.
