FIFA 21 is adding some new content focused on maybe the world's most famous soccer player--David Beckham. The iconic midfielder has signed an ambassadorial agreement with EA Sports to promote FIFA going forward, and to celebrate everyone can score some freebies.
First up, players will receive an untradeable David Beckham item in FIFA Ultimate Team, letting you make use of his on-the-pitch expertise. He's also being added as a "Groundbreaker" in the Volta football mode. Both of these extras will be added on December 15, 2020, and will be available to claim until January 15, 2021. Do so and he's yours forever.
Beckham will also be added as an icon in Ultimate Team from December. At the same time, the Xbox and PlayStation stores will present the standard edition as the "Beckham Edition" of the game for a period of time, to tempt fans with these limited-time freebies.
You can check out Beckham in FIFA 21 in the trailer below.
FIFA 21 is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on December 4, and the Beckham content will be available on those platforms, too. The Switch "Legacy Edition," which is missing several key features and has not sold well, will unfortunately not receive this bonus.
If you own FIFA 21 on PS4 or Xbox One, upgrading to the next-gen version within the same console family will be free.
