In a fresh press release, Discord sent out word that its software managed to surpass 250 million registered users in the four years since its foundation. Perhaps more impressive is the fact that the userbase grew by roughly 120 million just in the last year, as the company revealed it had 130 million registered users back in May 2018.

　　Since its founding in 2015, Discord’s appeal has always been in its small, living room-like atmosphere, where groups of friends can join together to talk games. As Discord has grown, it’s gone mainstream, providing everyone a way to chat about all passion points including sports, tabletop games, music, pets, and news.

　　Even amid all this celebration, there is one thing that didn't go very well at Discord. As you might recall from our previous coverage, they tried to launch their own store a while ago and even doubled down on the ongoing PC digital war by providing the best revenue share split for developers (90/10, while the Epic Games Store guarantees 88/12 and Steam 70/30).

　　However, the Discord Store seems to have simply vanished from existence as of late. There's no mention of it anymore on the Web or on the mobile applications for that matter. We can only assume it wasn't a hit with game developers.

　　The 'Nitro' subscription service remains available, though, with a massive library of indie and triple-A games included in the package (priced $9.99 monthly or $99.99 yearly).
