Crush was described as "one of a kind" when it was first released for the PSP in 2007, but it will soon be losing that distinction of uniqueness. Today, Sega announced it would be bringing Crush3D to the 3DS on September 6 in North America. The game is slated to arrive in Europe and Australia on September 9.

　　Miss the pun, and Sega may be crushed. Fitting to the 3DS, Crush3D's primary puzzle mechanic sees gamers navigating an intricate world by swapping between 2D and 3D fields of play. Through the "crushing" mechanic, players will be able to expand and collapse the gameworld, allowing them to reach seemingly impenetrable areas or heights.

　　The platformer also incorporates the 3DS's StreetPass functionality, which is a passive connectivity feature built in to Nintendo's hardware. When it's activated, gamers will be able to leave gifts for friends that can then be collected in-game.
