A curse rages upon our land, decaying both flesh and mind. People wander to and fro as stumbling half corpses, driven by voices from beyond. Nobles have closed the gates of their cities and the mages they keep as pets have retired to their towers, hidden behind labyrinthine wards.
We were left behind, and only the horde calls our names now. We survive off the flesh of our hunters when we're lucky, each other when we're not. A red fruit grows deep in the woods and keeps us from succumbing to the voices, but every season brings changes and so we keep moving, we the shambling ones.
And so marches the Horde
A small, rules-light game about community, weird zombie powers and disability. Manage your resources, eat corpses, and keep the curse under control. Or don't, see where that gets you. This game uses a three-in-one hit point/inventory/resolution mechanic, where characters spend their Breath to accomplish what they set out to do, dice being only used to generate the character's equipment and manage the group's progression through the campaign.A game made by Wendy Ribston Pippin in a fugue state.
