　　Maxwell is a man like any other living in central London in the midst of the industrial age. The capital is going through a difficult period of time where there are great tensions of war. Poverty, famine, and diseases are destroying the country. It is run by an oppressive and very dictatorial government. He works as an engineer in an extremely influential and equally mysterious factory called Mecanics factory. Although at first glance everything looks perfectly normal, inside it's a whole other world: artificial intelligence, robots, advanced technologies developed in partnership with the government. Hidden from the general public, they design weapons of deterrent warfare, with technologies no one has yet discovered, to gain an advantage over their enemies, but also to "cleanse the city of vermin." Maxwell faced with this genocide to come, decides to react, and tries to stop the process, in vain. He gets arrested and he gets tied to rails. He managed to free himself a little bit, but not enough to save his legs. Maxwell will be saved and sent to the infirmary. The world believing him dead, he secretly designs a drone that will allow him to overcome his handicap. One evening he'll sneak into the factory so he can stop everything, in anyway, he's the only person who's capable of doing it.
