Livia is a citizen of Rome in 1849 — a city that is currently undergoing a short-lived republican revolution in the wake of mass uprisings of liberation across Europe. But, a childhood of rigid religious education and an adulthood of thankless turmoil have soured you on such naive ventures as revolution. Livia is forced to reconcile the internal and external struggles confronting friends, family, and self in the face of this massive revolutionary upheaval. Is there room to cultivate hope in the face of failure? Is it not safer to retreat to the emotionally detached confines of unromantic and sensible practicality?
Why believe in anything, when you could be wrong?
Proud Blossoms is a historical drama set in Rome, 1849 that revolves around the different relationships Roman citizen Livia has and the highs and lows of life during the short-lived revolution of the Roman Republic — hope blossoms during the darkest hours.
