60 Seconds To Departure - An Angst 'Em Up! was made in three days, and is a submission to the One Minute Game game jam.

  60 Seconds is a visual novel about Rory and Jennifer, two girls who have been online friends for years. They've just spent the last three weeks together in real life, meeting face-to-face for the first time. You play as Jennifer while Rory waits for her train to take her to the airport, Both girls seemingly have unfinished business.

  However, you only have sixty real-life seconds until Rory's train leaves, whether you've come to a conclusion or not.

  Get your heart broken and ruin a relationship in this gay melodramatic Angst 'Em Up!

  Credits:

  What went well:

  - I think the art came out nice! I also think adding moving shadows made things feel more alive

  - We wanted to make something gay and overly angsty, and I think we achieved that!

  - The idea of "this visual novel will cut off after 60 seconds"

  What could've gone better:

  - Sound effects, such as blips for speaking, would've gone a long way

  - A more tightly focused story/dialogue

  - More defined endings

  - Telling the player they only have 60 seconds could've been incorporated better, since it's currently just a drawn timer in the middle of the screen

  Notes:

  There may be some bugs or routes that end up going nowhere, because I was pretty busy and ended up putting a lot of the mechanical stuff together a few hours before the game finished. Although there's a lot of little things I would have done differently with more time, I'm really pleased with how this came out!
